Dr Michelle Ammerer, Director of Coronary Care at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Western Cardiology specialist, has won WA Business News' 40 Under 40 First Amongst Equals Award. Greg Hutchinson, CEO of Prime Health, and Sonya Smart, Chief Manager Residential Care, Southern Cross Care WA, were also named as 40 Under 40 award winners.

Diane McKinnon has retired as CEO of Attadale Private Hospital. Jane Case is filling in as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found.

Bethesda Hospital personnel have changed in recent months. Ms Yasmin Naglazas replaces Brian Thompson as CEO, with new PA Sue Phillips (replacing Danielle Silverman). New DON Joan Shepherd becomes Executive Manager of Clinical Services (replacing Andrew Marshall).

RACGP WA Faculty has appointed Alana Dooley as their new Education Officer. Alana is an RN with hospital and general practice experience (in WA and overseas), and has spent some time mentoring nursing students at the University of Notre Dame.

Gina Abdelnour is no longer operations manager with Hollywood Fertility Centre. She has been replaced by Phil Breen.

There's plenty of new appointments at St John of God Health Care. Eleanor Roderick has been appointed to the newly created position of Group Coordinator Palliative Care, Leanne Merchant is the new Deputy Director Workforce at SJOG Hospital Murdoch, Anne Russell-Brown is the new Group Director Social Outreach and Advocacy, and Priscilla Fouracres is filling in as group Public Relations Manager while Natasha Simmons is on maternity leave. Kevin Taylor has moved as CEO of SJOG Pathology, but as Medical Forum went to print, there was no word as yet on his replacement.

WA's chief nursing officer Mr Phillip Della has been appointed a professor and head of Curtin University's School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Marie Stoner has resigned as executive director of Perth biotech Clinical Cell Culture (C3). Mark Barnaba has resigned from his role as non-executive director. Plugging these holes, Paul Watt, Ian Macpherson, and William Dolphin have been appointed to the board of directors

Mr Aki von Roy, currently the non-executive chair of Phylogica since the biotech's listing, has stepped in as executive chairman following Dr Stewart Washer's departure. Mr von Roy was previously the president of pharma giant Bristol-Myer Squibb (Europe).

Ms Christianne White has started as business development manager for the WA Centre for Health and Ageing, based as WAIMR.
