This survey seeks to gain a better understanding of GPs’ experience and interests in clinical trials.
Clinical trials provide significant benefits to Australian patients, the healthcare system, clinical researchers, and the Australian economy. From a patient’s perspective, clinical trials can provide access to new and potentially life-saving medicines, not yet available elsewhere.
During 2019, there were more than 1,800 clinical trials running, which contributed an estimated $1.1 billion a year to the economy, according to Medicines Australia.
Now, you can share your thoughts about enrolling patients in clinical trials across Australia.
ClinTrial Refer is currently seeking GPs to take part of a survey about patient involvement in clinical trials, and the role played by GPs.
The survey, which should take about two minutes to complete, includes questions like:
- Have you ever referred a patient to a clinical trial? If not, why not?
- What factors might affect your decision to refer a patient to a clinical trial?
- Have you ever conducted clinical trials in your practice?
- How would you rate the ability to find information about current clinical trials for your patients?
- How would you rate the ability to find clinical trial locations and contact information?
- What would make it easier for you to find current clinical trials for your patients?
