Dr Peter Flett has officially been named as the next Director General of WA Health after ten months of acting in the role.
In WA General Practice Network's recent revamp, Dr Rachel Hammond was elected President, Dr Andrew Png was elected Deputy President, and Dr Glen Koski was elected Treasurer. Ms Terina Grace from Osborne GP Network and Mr Chris Pickett from the Pilbara Division of General Practice were elected as Divisional Chief Executive Officers.
Melbourne-based A/Prof Julian Rait has been elected as President of the MDA National Council, succeeding A/Prof David Watson, who held the position for almost 12 years. Dr Beres Wenck, a GP from Brisbane, was elected Vice President. WA medicos Dr Andrew Miller and Dr Rosanna Capolingua were re-elected to the Council.
Mr Darren Webb has taken up a position as State Manager for General Pathology Laboratories, which also has 12 general practices under the Healthscope banner. Corrine Law-Davies is Healthscope's manager for WA medical centres. Mr Justin Koleits now heads up business development and marketing at General Pathology.
On December 19, Alan Ferguson will step down as CSL's State Manager after thirty years of service to the pharmaceutical giant. His replacement has yet to be appointed.
Paul Mather is no longer operations manager at Western Diagnostics, having taking up a post as IT manager with SJOG Pathology.
Liza Dunne has been appointed as Managing Director of Resonance Health.
Advanced Ocular Systems have appointed Stuart Usher as independent director. Mr Usher is also the Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer.
Liz Benson has stepped down as CEO of Diabetes WA. Her replacement is Andrew Wagstaff.
