The RACGP Funding and Health System Reform team has developed an information sheet aimed at GPs, to provide effective advice on how to talk about fees with patients.
The resource provides ideas on how to start a conversation with patients about why they are being charged a gap fee, or why their fees are higher now.
The new information sheet also provides information about the best way of discussing billing, out-of-pocket expenses and the cost of healthcare with patients, along with links with further information.
