The Department of Health is seeking your feedback for their Outpatient Reform Program. The program is led by the System Clinical Support and Innovation Unit, nested within the Clinical Excellence Division at the Department of Health.
About the program
The Outpatient Reform Program aims to help patients to navigate through their health care pathway, ensuring every appointment has value and improving access for those most in need. In practice, this program promises to:
- improve transparency and efficiency in management processes,
- empower primary care decision-making
- improve high value care, while reducing unnecessary costs
- provide meaningful health outcomes
Why your views matter
According to the official website of this program: “Understanding patient’s experiences and needs when accessing outpatient care is integral to the Outpatient Reform Program. Capturing and responding to this information will ensure public outpatient services, supports and reform initiatives are designed to meet the needs of patients and provide equitable, high quality and person-centered care.”
This goal of this survey is to define what is the ideal outpatient journey, from the perspective of a patient or carer.
Your participation in this survey will help with the improvement of public specialist outpatient services across WA.
How to participate
The survey is open to anyone who has experience in accessing public outpatient services within WA as a consumer or carer. The survey will take about 5-10 minute to complete.
