Wine giveaway: tell us what you think of the bulk billing incentive

General practitioners are being encouraged to bulk bill 100% of their appointments as the Federal Government looks to make healthcare cheaper for Australians – but will it actually work?

In November the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program begins as the government looks to deliver an additional 18 million bulk billed appointments each year.

The increase in bulk billed appointments was part of an $8.5 billion election commitment to bolster Medicare, but GPs have remained sceptical on whether the additional funding would make general practice cheaper.

Ahead of the incentive program coming into play, we want to know what WA GPs think. Will you be signing up to the program, or is it financially too difficult?
