Dr Paul Van Buynder has stepped down as the Director of the Department of Health's Communicable Disease Control Directorate. Dr Gary Dowse is the Acting Director until a permanent replacement is appointed later this month.

A/Prof Beth Hands has been appointed as the Director of The University of Notre Dame's Institute for Health and Rehabilitation Research. Beth is the current Associate Dean of Notre Dame's School of Health Sciences.

A/Prof Beth Hands has been appointed as the Director of The University of Notre Dame's Institute for Health and Rehabilitation Research. Beth is the current Associate Dean of Notre Dame's School of Health Sciences.

Dr Scott Blackwell has taken up the role of Clinical Lead for the WA Primary Care Health Network. This new network provides an opportunity for everyone involved in primary care to connect with others to improve the health of Western Australians.

Dr Anil Tandon has started as Clinical Lead for the WA Palliative Care Network. He is a Palliative Care Physician practicing in the tertiary (Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital) and remote (WA Country Health Service, Kimberley) sectors. He is also the WA Director of Advanced Training for Palliative Medicine.

Dr Hannah Seymour, consultant geriatrician, has taken up the post of Clinical Lead of the Aged Care Network after Dr Peter Goldswain retired from the role in January. Hannah leaves her former role leading the Falls Prevention Health Network, which she'd held for the last two years.

Kate Gatti, A/Area Director Population Health for WA Country Health Service has joined Dr Gervase Chaney as co-Lead of the WA Child and Youth Health Network. She replaces A/Prof David Forbes, who has stepped down after two years in the role.

A/Prof Piers Yates joins Dr James Williamson as the co-Lead of the WA Musculoskeletal Health Network. Piers holds a number of positions including Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia and is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon.
