Dr Glen Koski has been appointed non-executive director for Advance Healthcare Group Ltd (AHG) after its subsidiary Cottman Australia merged with the medical supplies business Paramedical Supplies, part of Medical Products Group. ?AHG is looking to build its web-based and mail order pharmaceutical and OTC business following agreements with ePharmacy, My Chemist and Chemist Warehouse Group.

Eastland Medical Systems, with ex-Delta Wests' David Whitelaw as Director of Sales & Marketing, has hit a snag with the commercialisation of its needle manufacturing technology at its Portland (Vic) plant. Share price (EMS) has dropped from around from ~35c soon after their 2004 annual report to ~10c in May this year. The company is now looking at South African manufacturing interests.

Western Australia's Wild Child brand of natural head lice treatment (Quit Nits) has captured >10% of the Australian market and hopes to boost sales further with a "partnership" sponsorship of the Asthma Foundation by splitting a portion of sales revenue.

After GPDWA went into receivership, ex-CEO Cobie Rudd was appointed Assoc/Prof of Primary Health Care at ECU. She has now been appointed Assoc Prof head of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Postgraduate Medicine at Edith Cowan University, also the haunts of Moira Sim who was on the GPDWA board and is now Assoc Prof Computing Health and Science in the same School.
