Dr Mike Daly was honoured for "service to medicine, particularly to veterans in the fields of counselling and stress related illness."

Ms Lorraine Glover, previously sales and marketing manager at Visiomed, has been promoted to executive manager with responsibility for "coordinating the integration of the company's operational divisions and providing support in the areas of marketing and investor relations".

Mr Scott Thompson has taken over from Ms Philippa Dennis as state manager Tyco Healthcare. Philippa is returning to her native New Zealand after a 24-year absence to become NZ Manager for Tyco. Tyco has split off from the US parent company and has rebranded as medical device company Covidien.

Ms Fiona Clarke has taken over as state sales manager for Stryker after the departure interstate of Mr Matt Austin.

Ms Michelle Lam has taken over as marketing manager for St John of God Pathology while Ms Alice Martins is on a year's study leave.

Ms Sarah Brazier has left her position as business development manager with SKG Radiology.

After 17 years with the RFDS, Dr James Flynn has resigned as Medical Officer Western Operations to take up an emergency medicine training post.

The company merger to form Bayer Schering Pharma has seen the resignation of Ms Margaret O'Connor as head of primary care in WA.

Ms Angeli Malkani has replaced Joanne Woodward as wound therapeutics representative for Convatec Wound Therapeutics in WA.

Ms Deborah Costello is the new CEO of the Injury Control Council of WA. Outgoing CEO Christine Costa leaves at the end of the month.

WACCRM has split from UWA and has rebranded as Rural Health West. The new board consists of Chair Mr Ian Taylor (former Deputy Premier/Health Minister ) and directors Dr Malcolm Hodson (Chair, Goldfields Esperance GP Network), Dr Tim Leahy (Aboriginal Health Council of WA), Dr Karl Staer (Director, Goldfields Esperance GP Network), Mr Mark Grime (CEO, SJOG Bunbury hospital), Mr John Ireland (Secretary, GP Down South and WAGPET), and Ms Dani Nazzari (Manager, Towns & Partnerships Pilbara Iron). They replace outgoing board members Mr Irwin Barrett-Lennard (Chair), Coucillor Ken Pech, Ms Gail McMath, Dr Peter Wallace, and Dr Stephen Langford.
