The company's plant and staff are based in Victoria so pharmacist-trained CEO David McAuliffe – who has GP and radiologist brothers in WA – travels a lot. Both companies are cashed up to ~$11m and in for the long haul in the hope that their CSIRO-researched product will have orthopaedic applications eventually.
The Sanofi-Aventis merger has not led to a decrease in sales staff in WA. Sanofi State Manager Mr Peter Mortimer has been replaced by Aventis State Manager Ms Fiona Milliner (cardiovascular) and Ms Lexie Wilkins (CNS).
