Mr Brad Sebbes has been appointed executive director of the Fiona Stanley Hospital project. According the WA Health Department, his role will be dedicated to drawing together the wide-ranging elements of the project to achieve the best possible results, and ultimately, a hospital development that reflects world-wide best practice. Brad leaves his post as General Manager of the Mount Hospital. Prior to that, he worked with the Health Department in a variety of roles for close to 30 years. No one as yet has been named as Mr Sebbes replacement at the Mount, but an appointment is expected to be made in the next few months.

Mr Paul Ashton has stepped into the role of managing director at Perth biotech company pSivida. Mr Roger Brimblecombe has resigned as acting CEO and chairman.

Margaret Jackson has been formally appointed as Holyoake's chief executive officer after acting in the role for five months. Holyoake is WA's largest non-governmental alcohol and drug counselling agency.

Dr Mike Birch has left rural medicine after a long stint to study paediatrics at Fremantle Hospital.

Perth biotech Phylogica has named Dr Douglas Francis to lead the company's drug development team. Dr Francis was formerly the head of Pharmaxis' drug development team in Sydney.
