A/Prof Frank Jones has replaced Dr Peter Maguire as the new RACGP (WA) Faculty Chair. He has been Deputy Chair since 2006 and is senior partner at the Murray Medical Centre in Mandurah. He has served on the MAC for the Peel Health Campus and the board member for the GP Down South division.

Ms Kerryn Millar has been appointed WA Manager for IPN/Gemini.

Naturaliste Medical Group, comprising the Dunsborough Medical Centre and Busselton’s Broadwater Medical Centre, is the winner of the RACGP Western Australia General Practice of the Year Award 2010.

Heart Care WA has merged with Coastal Cardiology, increasing the group’s cardiologists from 8 to 13.

Dr Belinda Wozencroft, who recently completed her general practice training, has won the RACGP General Practice Registrar of the Year Award 2010.

And to provide a Novell NDS to Microsoft Active Directory Migration Tool, the Health Department will pay Dimension Data $159,344, a decision made just 3 months before Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) acquired Dimension Data Holdings for a cool $3.8 billion.

Dr Nicola Patching received the National Rural Faculty General Practice Registrar of the Year Award 2010. Dr Patching trained as a midwife prior to studying medicine and is currently based in Broome.
